Penpot

Pull design tokens from a Penpot file into one of a Brand’s token sets. An early version.

What it does

If your designers keep tokens in Penpot, Stoaken can read them from a Penpot file into one of a Brand’s token sets. From there they go through review like any other change. It reads from Penpot only; it doesn’t send changes back yet.

Connecting and pulling

  1. Connect Penpot: your Penpot address, the file’s id, and a personal access token from your Penpot settings. You need Editor access on the Brand.
  2. Test connection checks that Penpot accepts the token.
  3. Pull tokens into the token set you choose.
  4. Propose a release from Overview to send the change for review.

Good to know: If the access token expires, pulling stops working until you reconnect with a new one.
